This bespoke creation is a tribute to the heartbeat of Middle Eastern music. Inspired by the geometric soul and tactile beauty of the Darbuka, every curve of this design echoes a rhythmic stroke. To honor the musician’s craft, I moved away from the “perfectly smooth” and embraced hand-painted, earthy textures that mimic the weathered skin and ceramic body of the instrument.
The interior is a symphony of its own—composed of layers that mirror the complexity of a percussion solo. A light, fragrant Rose and Pistachio sponge provides a floral melody, grounded by a rich, nutty finish that lingers long after the final note.
